Class Individual Project/2021

A typography class project working on developing a modular type. My typeface is constructed by squares, dots and thin lines, together giving the feeling of some mysteriousness feeling. So I ended up giving this typeface a background story that it is a language from some long lost tribe deep in some far away rain forest. All letters follow the rules based on a grid, and this grid is a panel carved on a rock in front of the entrance to this tribe. Only by tabing on the correct manner on this panel will show the actual entrance along with the tribe. Based on this background story I made a poster for this typeface. Black&white only was a requirement.
